A Special Anniversary Message from NeTia Bauman, GSDC CEO & President

It’s hard to believe it’s already been two years since I stepped into the role of CEO & President at the GSDC, and what a meaningful ride it’s been!

Together, we’ve achieved some exciting milestones: from welcoming major employers like Niron Magnetics, a non-rare Earth magnetic manufacturer set to break ground this fall in Sartell, to supporting innovative startups like The Benefactor, a cryptocurrency venture choosing Greater St. Cloud as its launchpad.

We've embraced bold storytelling through efforts like the My Town docuseries to attract talent and investment, and deepened our commitment to Entrepreneur-Led Economic Development. We've strengthened regional partnerships, reimagined spaces for innovation and connection like StageWorks, and continued to champion what makes this region an exceptional place to live, work, and grow.

I’m especially grateful for the incredible team I’m honored to lead, the dedicated board and investors who power our mission, and the broader community that has made this region feel like home, not just professionally, but personally.

Finally, as we near the completion of a year-long strategic planning journey, I’m more energized than ever by what’s ahead. With a clear vision and aligned momentum, we’re not just preparing for the future, we’re shaping it.

Q2 2025 Highlights - Growth, Connection & Community Impact

The GSDC had a strong Q2, advancing regional growth, talent development, and community impact. Here are a few of our highlights and wins:

GSDC supported 4 business attraction projects, 1 expansion, and 22 technical assistance efforts.
Eight new clients joined the Thrive MN program.
StageWorks officially opened.
Over 100 people attended the FastLane94 Pitch Competition.
Social media and newsletters saw high engagement, with 231K+ impressions and 6,000+ interactions.
Block by Block launched to support a clean and safe downtown St. Cloud.
Four new investors joined the GSDC.
Over 100 attended the May All-Investors Meeting, where Donella Westphal of Jules’ Bistro was honored.
A new Investor Resources Kit was launched to deepen engagement.
