Community Intern Day Connects Emerging Talent to Central MN

Image_20260610_210849_747

GSC recently hosted its first Community Intern Day, bringing together 36 interns from 10 organizations for a day of networking, professional development, wellness, volunteering, and community engagement.

The event was designed to help interns build meaningful connections, gain valuable career insights, and develop a stronger connection to the Central Minnesota region. Activities included elevator pitch practice, a young professionals panel discussion, a wellness walk, and a financial wellbeing session.

A special thank you to Granite Partners for hosting the event and helping create a welcoming space for interns to connect, learn, and engage with the community.

Internships remain one of the most effective ways to connect emerging talent with local career opportunities while helping employers build their future workforce. By bringing interns together from organizations across the region, Community Intern Day showcased the collaborative efforts underway to attract, develop, and retain talent.

The energy, engagement, and relationships built throughout the day demonstrated the value of creating opportunities for young professionals to connect with one another, local employers, and the broader community. As employers continue to focus on talent attraction and retention, initiatives like Community Intern Day help strengthen the region's talent pipeline and encourage future professionals to build their careers in Central Minnesota.

10-2 Night Shift: Creating Space for Central Minnesota's After Hours Entrepreneurs

JENNIE CAN USE - COPY OF OG Square Social Graphics (3)

For a lot of entrepreneurs, the real hustle starts after hours. After the day job. After dinner. After the kids are in bed.

That's exactly why we're excited to introduce 10-2 Night Shift — a new pilot program hosted at StageWorks in downtown St. Cloud, brought to life by the BuzzCare Team, Stephen Rider and Levi Bosshart.

The idea is simple: give night owl founders, side hustlers, and creators a dedicated space to work, connect, and build — during the hours that actually work for them.

Running through December, 10-2 Night Shift offers a collaborative workspace at StageWorks where you can focus on your projects, swap ideas, and spend time with others who understand the grind of building something from the ground up.

Registration is required so we can plan ahead.

"The journey of starting or growing a business doesn't always fit within traditional office hours," says Jennie Weber, Operations and Program Coordinator for GSC. "That's exactly what we're hoping to provide through this pilot program."

If you've ever found yourself deep in a business plan at 11 PM wishing you had people to bounce ideas off of — this one's for you.
